About the work

I live in a colliding world, where attention to the glorious riot of flowers co-exists with the knowledge of bombings of innocent people. The gorgeousness of blues and greens created by light filtering through the water of Lake Michigan crash against the knowledge of gun violence in the city.  I strive to live in beauty, love and peace, yet violence, sexism and fear of rising white supremacists sticks a knife in my heart at random moments.

Often, however, there is simply and wonderfully,  the pure joy of movement that comes from my core, spiraling out, both receiving and sending energetic strength.  When that happens, the flow of color and light and sweetness is profound.  At its core, my work centers around movement - walking, spinning, reaching out all turn to dance, and when I move, I see flowing color and want to share that with you.
